Wrongful Termination

Being fired from a job for an unlawful reasons, such as race, sex, ethnic origin, pregnancy, disability, or medical condition. If your employer terminates you because you complained about or exercised your rights pursuant to a law, statute or regulation you may have a cause of action for wrongful termination in violation of public policy

Missclassification Of Employee

Where the employer classifies the employee as exempt under the law in order to avoid paying overtime, or where the employer classifies the individual as an independent contractor instead of an employee to escape paying overtime, providing meal and rest breaks as well as avoiding other benefits of the traditional employer employee relationship.

Sexual Harassment Or Harassment

Based on unwelcomed verbal or physical conduct directed at an employee because of his or her sex, which can involve same sex harassment, or different sex harassment, namely harassment by a man against or a woman or a woman against a man.

Leave Of Absence

Including family, parental and medical leaves with respect to the Family Medical Leave Act, California Family Rights Acts, etc.

Non-Payment Of Wages

Including regular time wages, overtime wages, double time wages

Failure To Compensation Of Personally Paid Business Expenses

Gas, tools, equipment, clothing, using your personal cell phone for work purposes, etc.

Failure To Compensate For Interrupted Lunches And Breaks

Against exercising your rights or for filing a complaint about your workplace environment
